Brain Power Review

Brain Power Review

Price: $14.95

We were finally able to finish our test with Brain Power earlier today. Brain Power, from KMD Botanicals, is an herbal supplement that claims to be able to help neurons maintain ‘healthy cellular energy production’ by the use of healthy blood circulation. Basically, it’s a bunch of vasodilating ingredients that help the brain similar to the way that most other nootropic brain enhancers do.

Not a lot of information is given on Brain Power’s website, which actually makes us question its actual legitimacy. It’s interesting to really see how many pharmaceutical companies are able to put out supplements and medicine out there without so much as actual clarity on what it does. Sure, there is a paragraph description for Brain Power, but when dealing with supplements that may affect the way your brain works, wouldn’t you want to know more?

Brain Power Ingredients

Another thing that goes onto the lists of Brain Power’s website flaws is the lack of ability to give clear ingredients. They provide almost no information about their individual ingredients and only list them down in this fashion:

  • Gotu Kola
  • Periwinkle
  • Guduchi
  • Kola Nut
  • Holy Thistle
  • Spirulina

  • Guarana
  • Kelp
  • Rosemary Leaf
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Haritaki Hinger
  • Guduchi

  • Ginkgo Biloba
  • Club Moss
  • Gyssop
  • Shankhapushpi

While many believe that herbal, ‘natural’ ingredients are better than those that are synthesized, most people couldn’t be more wrong. More often than not, an ingredient is synthesized to make it more potent than its natural counterpart, and additionally, to take away any sort of side effect that natural an ingredient may possess.

What Brain Power Does for You

All of us at the office had a go at Brain Power, and the majority of us came to the same conclusion: it wasn’t really that effective. Brain Power didn’t really work for us. It sort of gave us this buzz from taking it, and that didn’t help with getting work done at all. In fact, it seemed that most of us had an even harder time focusing than normal.

Another thing that we noticed, as we mentioned about herbal supplements, was that Brain Power did give us quite a few weird side effects. Firstly, after this buzzing in our head stopped, many of us experienced headaches – some, migraines. A few of us also had pretty bad diarrhea – which made the situation worse since we only have three stalls in the restroom!

The Problem with Brain Power

Brain Power fails at impressing us and it seems as if this is due to them wanting to be too different. In the world of nootropic supplements and brain enhancers, there are only a few that are really stand-out, and this is because they follow true to the ingredients that are a staple in nootropic use – synthetics. While it is noble to try and set yourselves apart, it should not be to the point of decreased efficacy. Brain Power could definitely be better – however, that would mean a complete revamp of everything they know and love.
